REVIEW OF EK MAIN AUR EKK TU
The love season is going on and bollywood is also celebrating this valentine with their loving audience.Karan Johar and UTV`s romantic comedy EK MAIN AUR EKK TU released this friday.Firstly i have to clear why i add double K in second EKK in the title of the movie.Bollywood`s well known film maker Karan Johar has great faith in numerology.Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in leading roles.
SCRIPT ANALYSIS
The story and screenplay of EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is written by Shakun Batra.His story is quite new for indian audience.It is a story of Rahul Kapoor and Riana Briganza who meets by chance in Las Vegas.Both are very depressed bacause they lost their jobs.In Las Vegas,they got married after drinking an alcohal.It is very undigesting thing for the masses because they have not watched this type of concept before it.Screenplay of Shakun Batra has up and down speed in pre-interval but 2nd half is full of twists and turns.Dialogues of the movie are also penned by Shakun Batra which have city flavour.Audience of small town and single screen theatres will not like it.Overall,Shakun Batra`s script is good but not extraodinary.
STAR PERFORMANCES
Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor is leading pair of the movie.Imran Khan played the role of Rahul Kapoor who is an architect and lost his job.Imran Khan has given brilliant job in the role of innocent guy.His dialogue delivery is not good,its extraodinary.He rocked every scene of the film.The leading lady of the film,Kareena Kapoor is in the role of Riana Briganza who is hair stylist,did good work.She played the role of a bubbly girl.She has given great fight to Imran Khan in acting.She looks very charming in the film.Boman Irani and Ratna Shah Paathak also in good role.Overall,star performances are mind blowing.
MUSIC
The award winning composer Amit Trivedi,composed music for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.His music has no mass appeal.It will be liked by the classes but not the masses.Only title song and AUNTY JI songs are good,but others are below to the mark.There is no emotional tracks in the film.Which is biggest draw back of the film.
DIRECTION
The romantic comedy is directed by the new director Shakun Batra who assisted Karan Johar in lots of films.His direction is very mature,you can`t say it is directed by new director.Shakun`s narration style is damn good.He a handle a different concept with wonderfull way.With great direction,he proved that he will play long inning in bollywood.
BOX OFFICE PERDICTION
EK MAIN AUR EKK TU `s production budget is 35 crore rupees.20 crore rupees are recovered from music and television rights.Trade is hoping that it will cover 20-25 crore rupees from theatres.But this film is not made for the masses,it will work only in A grade multiplexes.
